The group, composed of 19 young people, will also be sharing in other services throughout Northern Ireland, under the direction of Professor Garen Wolf of GBS.

They will be presenting a special programme entitled "There's only one way".

Pastor Mark Mander from Coleraine, who is co-ordinating the tour, said the GBS choir had taken up an invitation to "share in music ministry, encourage Christians with their workshipful music, challenge young people to think seriously about serving God and encourage the church to pray for more workers to enter the spiritual harvest field".

God's Bible School (GBS) and College was founded in Cincinnati, Ohio, by Rev Martin Wells Knapp in 1900.

Though he suffered numerous discouraging setbacks in his early ministry, Rev Knapp became a might evangelist, successful pastor, author and editor of a magazine with a circulation of 20,000.

The vision that God had given him 30 years previously was fulfilled on September 22, 1900, when a large red-brick mansion in Cincinnati was filled to capacity with students commencing their studies in the newly established God's Bible School and College.

All in all, 72 students from various parts of North Amercia as well as the Caribbean enrolled in that very first semester.
Under Martin Wells Knapp's leadership the GBS and College flourished and almost 109 years after its inception, the mission of GBSC remains the same.

Friday, May 22, is the first visit of its choral ensemble to Northern Ireland and Rev Duane Russell, minister of Ballymena Independent Methodist Church said the congregation is looking forward to hosting the special evening with their international guests.
