BALLYMENA Showgrounds is set to host one of the biggest Christian music and worship festivals in Europe this summer.
FUEL 09 will run from Friday until Sunday, June 5-9, and is certain to include some of the world's top acts and speakers.
Grammy award winning band, Third Day will be joined on the main stage by other class performers like Starfield, David Ostby,
Kevin Max and Downhere to name only a few.
Local bands will also get a chance to shine on the fringe stage and there is going to be an Acoustic Cafe.
A spokesperson for the team behind FUEL 09, said: "Fuel is about putting Ballymena on the map and spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, that is our main aim."
"Our hopes are that people will not only come who are Christian already and learn more about Jesus Christ but that they will feel comfortable enough to bring there non-Christian friends and family. And, that even though Ballymena is a small town, we want people to know where it is and see it as a place where God is number one", they enthused.
FUEL 09 is being organised and run by FUEL Events Limited. This is a not-for-profit organisation with a clear Christian ethos.
The event is purposely not connected directly to any specific group of Christians or denomination – it's supporters and volunteers are simply followers of Christ who share a common purpose and interest in the event.
Importantly, FUEL 09 will also provide an environment where Christian organisations, agencies and charities can promote, exhibit and tell others what they do.
Chris Seay, Nate Larkin, Nick Battle not to mention Ballymena's own Desi Maxwell and Steve Stockman will be leading inspirational seminars at FUEL 09, which really is open to anyone to attend.
A complete festival atmosphere is promised with on-site camping available for just £5 per night. What's more, there will also be food, coffee and a range of other stalls.
What's more, at just £65 (adult), £52(teen 13 – 16) ,(up to age 12 free) for three days of world-class music and teaching, FUEL O9 is certainly good value.
Their spokesperson concluded: "We are excited and we feel it is going to be a success this year and we want people to know that it's happening. We are hoping for at least 4500 people, that's the capacity of the main stage. With so many great bands and speakers coming it's going to be amazing – so get your tickets now!"
Tickets for FUEL 09 are available from various outlets, including www.ticketmaster.ie , The Faith Mission, (High Street Ballymena), Wesley Owen, Belfast/Coleraine, www.kingsway.com and the FUEL office, which is located at Ballymena Showgrounds.
