Family History club’s new season

THE Ballymena branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society will launch their 2012-2013 programme on Thursday, September 27.

The evening will commence with registration followed by short talks delivered by committee members to help you begin research into your family history/genealogy.

Genealogy is about tracing relationships by working from the known to the unknown and proving those relationships.

Clues to your family history might be found on the back of old photographs, in the family bible or even on a postcard.

Whether you are beginning your research or already started, you are invited to go along to the talk next Thursday at 7.15pm in The Braid. For more information contact Chairman Brian O’Hara on 25656854.
