Family History ‘intro’ on offer at The Braid

KEEN to start researching your family history but don’t know where to start?

Try The Braid Arts Centre on Thursday, September 29, at 7.15pm when the Ballymena branch of the North of Ireland Family History Society will be launching their 2011-2012 Programme.

The evening will start with registration of new and returning members and some general information about the Society.

Short talks will then be given by committee members to help you get your family history/genealogy research underway.

Genealogy is about tracing relationships by working from the known to the unknown and proving those relationships.

If you are new to this process or perhaps have made a start but need help to access records and don’t know how to go about it, then the Society members will be able to help.

Just go along on Thursday night or call the chairman, Brian O’Hara for more information on 25656854.
