A Ballymena woman will launch a new book on Indian cooking and culture at the Braid Arts Centre tomorrow Wednesday, July 2
Dr Anila Bali from the Old Park Road in Ballymena will also host a number of book-signings and demonstrations in support of her new book entitled 'Mom's cooking and More Indian Style'.
Dr Bali, a former lecturer in history and financial advisor, is well known through her writings on Indian Culture for the Belfast Telegraph and North Woman magazine.
In the foreword to her book, Dr Anila states that it was writing recipes for her friends and a passion for Indian culture which inspired her to write the book.
She writes; "This is not a perfect book with perfect recipes. It is a book of home cooked wholesome food, easy to make, cost effective and time efficient. I have included variations and steps in some of the recipes to convert them into party dishes with minimum effort.
"I hope my readers will enjoy reading and learning these recipes as much as I have done writing them."
