BROUGHSHANE Playing Fields Association 'B' won't be sorry to see the back of Golf Club.
The Knockan Road side were eliminated from the League Cup by the golfers in the early weeks of the season - and last week they also suffered the same fate in the Plate competition!
Ordinarily, that scenario would not have been possible but this season, league officials ruled that teams eliminated in both the first and second rounds of the Cup - previously it would only have been first round losers - are eligible for the subsidiary competition.
Broughshane, with a 10 shot advantage over their top-flight opponents, gave it a good go but still came up four shots short.
