STEVEN Kelly from The Sitting Room Hairdressing, Ballymena, offers top tips on how to love your hair.

The perfect partner for every girl this year is the right hairstyle.

CURL

SOFT sexy curls are a great choice for Valentine's Day as you can style them loose and relaxed or big and bouncy depending on the look you want to create.

Men tend
not to worry about whether your hair is neat and tidy; in fact, some men prefer the undone look as it shows you are more relaxed and easygoing.

The best way to achieve this is to try tousled tresses which are popular among celebrity favourites like Kate Hudson, Mary-Kate Olsen and Fearne Cotton.

The understated textured look has been helping stars grab headlines everywhere so it is sure to help you get the attention!

However, if you prefer something a little more groomed then I recommend
classic curls, as they are still

popular this season and with a boost of extra volume will help give your hair a touch of glam.

COLOUR

GIVE your hair a blast of radiant colour for the ultimate confidence boost as it will transform your look completely and promise to get you noticed.

Take inspiration from stars like Gwen Stefani, Cheryl Cole and Ashlee Simpson, who all ensure their shade is the centre of attention everywhere they go. Try using AVEDA Color Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner which seals hair cuticles, protects newly coloured hair and locks in colour.

Top tip: Although you may be tempted to try Agyness Deyn's bold platinum blonde, remember it is a very daring shade and tends to work best on those with lots of attitude.

If you are experiencing hair or beauty problems or simply want to look even more gorgeous, email your question to thesittingroomhairdressing@hotmail.co.uk, post it to On the Sofa, The Sitting Room, 18 Broadway Avenue, Ballymena, BT437AA or visit the salon and pop it into the comments box.
