Ballymena Church Members’ Forum hold annual meeting

The recent annual general meeting of Ballymena Church Members’ Forum attracted a good attendance at All Saints Parish Centre.

Ballymena Church Members Forum are a small group of lay people working in the area of reconciliation and bridge building in the community.

Invited guests to their agm included the Mayor of Mid & East Antrim, Cllr Billy Ashe, and Jayne Dunlop from the Council’s Good Relations Unit.

Reports were presented in relation to the Forum’s work over the previous 12 months by secretary, Rosalie Grainger, Secretary, and Wendy Morton, Forum Co-Chair.

The meeting was chaired by Eileen Gallagher of the Irish School of Ecumenics who also conducted the election of Office Bearers.

In her remarks she thanked Wendy for all the hard work and energy she had put into getting the Forum started and established over the last six years.

The subsequent elections resulted in Wilbert Morton becoming Chairperson, Rosalie Grainger continuing as Secretary, Noel Dornan as Treasurer and Stephanie Allen, St Clair Beatty, Noreen Dornan, Sally Ann Johnston, Elaine McDonald, Phoebe McDonald, Jennifer McLernon and John Stuart being members of the Forum steering committee.

Afterwards, delegates heard from Paul Patton, (Ballymena Credit Union), Valerie Roebuck, (Christians Against Poverty, Ballymena) and Janice Colgan, (Ballymena Foodbank) before the meeting ended with prayer.
