The ‘Big 100’ is being hailed as the tractor event of the year as hundreds of tractors will be on show to celebrate 100 years (1917 to 2017) of Fordson, Ford, New Holland and their derivatives. The interest in this static tractor show has spread across Europe as some tractor enthusiasts from The Netherlands have already indicated they will be attending. However, the event, organised by the Braid Valley Vintage Enthusiasts Ltd, is open to any tractor, car or truck.

John Crothers, chairman of the Braid Valley Vintage Enthusiasts Ltd, said: “Our club has been preparing for this event for a few years now and the wheels are now in motion to have everything set up for the big day. This will be a static tractor event but we may have some working demonstrations as well as tractor pulling. Trade stands will also be welcome by prior arrangement. An entry fee will be charged on the day for visitors and tractors with proceeds going to Marie Curie.”

All tractors of any make or age are welcome to join the static show on the day and provisions have been made for anyone wishing to take tractors to the event the day before. Combines are also welcome at the Big 100 which is being supported by John Crothers Engineering and Northern Ireland New Holland dealers, Burkes of Cornascriebe, Brian Keys Tractors and R Kennedy & Co, Ballymena.
