HMV mark opening with day of deals

HMV Ballymena will officially open its doors this Saturday, August 30, at 9am, with the creation of 12 new jobs, in a new 4,000 sq.ft. store at its former premises in the Fairhill Shopping Centre.

HMV will be celebrating on the day with breakdancers, helium balloons, and a Q107 DJ live in the store window throughout the afternoon.

A fantastic range of Door Bustin’ Deals will be on offer – for one day only - in the music, film, gaming and technology departments.

Deals include a massive 40% off all vinyl in the store; as well as £100 off Playstation 4 and Xbox One consoles (10 of each console available). In addition, there will be new release movies from just £7.99, with a special offer of three movies for £8 from a select range.

Technology fans can avail of 15% off Select iFrogz audio products; 20% off Select Sol Republic headsets; 10 Beats Mix Black Headsets available at £99.99 (a saving of £120; and Sony Blu Ray players for £9.99 (20 available).

This announcement brings the total number of HMV stores in Ireland to nine, with stores open at Grafton Street, Henry Street, Dundrum Towncentre and Liffey Valley in Dublin; Crescent Shopping Centre in Limerick, at the Quays Shopping Centre in Newry; Donegall Arcade in Belfast and most recently at Edward Square in Galway. In addition, there are now 46 dual branded Xtra-vision and HMV stores opened around the country.
