Slideshow: Macmillan coffee mornings

At the end of September, the Year 12 Prefects and Home Economics teacher, Mrs McCabe, came together and held a coffee morning full of sumptuous cookies, cakes and buns.  This was to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. 'All teaching and non-teaching staff were invited in addition to Year 12 and Year 8 parents, enjoying delicious refreshments and a very pleasant morning.'The event was a great success enabling the school to donate a whopping �255.

Kettles across the borough were working extra hard recently as many charity coffee mornings were held.

This was to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support and the enthusiasm of local residents was clear to see.

Schools, community groups and church groups were just some of those who got involved, each providing delicious cakes and treats all in aid of a good cause.
