The festive season will be in full swing at Antrim Lough Shore Park on Thursday, December 4 between 6pm and 8pm when it is transformed into a winter wonderland.
Make sure you’re there early to see Santa arriving by boat along the Six Mile Water River around 6.15pm, with a little help from his friends at Lough Neagh Rescue.
Children will be able to visit Santa in his grotto and take part in a range of activities including festive train rides, face painting and a Christmas puppet show.
A range of craft items and Christmas gifts from The Old Courthouse will also be available to purchase.
There will be prizes for the best dressed character from the hit film ‘Frozen’ with judging at 7pm and there will also be the opportunity to meet famous characters from the film.
Olaf may also make an appearance if the weather is cold enough!
There will be lots of Christmas music at the Cool FM Radio Roadshow and free children’s arts and crafts with a ‘Frozen’ theme.
Karen Steele, Development Manager (Visitor Servicing), said: “Antrim Borough Council is pleased to showcase the Lough Shore Park in all its winter glory by transforming it into a true Winter Wonderland.
“Everyone is welcome to come along to the Lough Shore Park to enjoy Christmas music and festive characters and an evening of fun and excitement.
“Clementsmount Fun Farm will also add a sparkle to the evening by bringing their mobile farm. All in all, this event will be a great opportunity to celebrate the Festive Season in style!”
Admission is free to the event with just a £1 per child charge for Santa’s Grotto (small gift included).
Lough Neagh Rescue will also be fundraising on the night for their new lifeboat station at Antrim Lough Shore Park.
