Five miles, five years - the Ballymena Fairhill fun-run is celebrating a significant birthday next month!

Ballymena BID Ltd, in partnership with Ballymena Runners, are delighted to announce the fifth year ‘running’ Fairhill Ballymena 5 mile Road Race and Fun Run.

The event, which will be sponsored by the Fairhill Shopping Centre and Montgomerys Restaurant, Ballymena, will take place on Wednesday, June 1. Assistance is also given by Ballymena Business Centre where registration will take place on the night.

There were more than 550 runners in the 5 mile Road Race, Fun Run and Walk at last year’s event, with runners of all experience levels coming from all over the province.

Natalie Jackson, Marketing & Commercial Manager at Fairhill said: “Fairhill Traders are very proud to have previously supported the Ballymena 5 Mile Road Race and Fun Run and are looking forward to this June. It’s been a great event for the Town, raising the profile across the Province and encouraging people to get active and take part in this community event, as well as showcasing what the Town has to offer.”

James Turtle, Ballymena Runners Race Director, added: “This race promises to be another great event. Already we have had enquiries from several top athletes, and the event is now seen as an important fixture on the annual road racing calendar. It is also an important community event. All ages and abilities will be represented, and many will also be using the race to collect money for charity.”
