A Ballymena man has proven critics of older motorists wrong, after passing his advanced driving test at the age of 96.

David McCausland recently signed up for the Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) Advanced Driving Course.

After a preparation period of about six weeks, Mr McCausland has just passed his Advanced Driving Test, not long after celebrating his 96th birthday!

Congratulations are due to David for having the courage to have his driving skills assessed and for having successfully completed the course.
