LOCAL motorcyclists are being invited to take part in the first ever 'Kells to Kells' cross border charity ride on Saturday, July 19.
Departing from Kells in Ballymena, motorcyclists will make their way south to Kells in Co Meath, where they will hand over monies raised for Ireland's Air Ambulance

The event is being organised by the Quay Vipers Motorcycle Club, supported by the Ballymena Council and Kells County Meath Council and sponsored by Adelaide Insurance Services.

The ride-out leaves our very own Kells on Saturday at 11.00am, from the Community Centre heading to the Fairgreen in Kells Town Centre Conty Meath for a brief ceremony.

On arrival the motorcyclists will present the money raised to Ireland Air Ambulance, and Town Council gifts will be exchanged as a token of cross border relationships.

The first-ever ride-out is part of the Kells Road Races Festival 08 in association with adelaideinsurance.com which runs from Friday, July 18 until Sunday, July 20.

All money raised goes to Ireland Air Ambulance as there's no fully equipped emergency medical helicopter service operating in Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland, so all parties involved are hoping to help change that.

Visit www.irelandairambulance.org for more information on the bike-ride about the charity.
