GOOD news for local motorists! Work has been completed on Tullygarley Bridge - just in time for the 'school run'.
Roads Service advise that finishing touches are being carried out in the vicinity and that traffic lights will be in operation at peak times.
"Drive carefully and have a little patience and all should be smooth," said a spokesman.

The Road Service announced some time ago that they were to undertake work at Tullygarley Bridge, in an effort to strengthen, straighten and widen the existing bridge, taking into consideration the wishes of a number of local people to preserve the character of the old bridge.
Having now travelled over the bridge three times in both directions, whilst strengthening of the bridge is hard to gauge, neither of the remaining two pieces of work seem to have been carried out. It isn't straight; there are a couple of 'kinks' in it yet, and it does not appear to be any wider, since the original stonework is still visible. My first impression is that they would be better closing it for another month, and try again.

Another useless waste of tax payers money.
Ok so the bridge is a little wider but it is no better than before the "upgrade"
You still have stop to allow lorries across before continuing onto the bridge.
If a job was done so badly in the private sector someone would lose their job but not in the public sector.
Thanks for 4 weeks of diversions for nothing!!!
Bring in Bob the Builder, lets see if he can fix the "botch" job.
