BALLYMENA residents are invited to visit RNID Northern Ireland's information stand at the Tower Centre to find out how to manage tinnitus – sounds such as ringing, whistling or buzzing in people's head or ears which don't come from an external source.
The charity working with hearing loss and hearing health is running the stand in the shopping centre between 10am – 4pm on the Tuesday, February 9, of Tinnitus Awareness Week

Volunteers will be available to provide information about tinnitus and d
iscuss ways people can manage the condition such as using sound therapies, relaxation exercises and products which can help reduce stress or mask the sounds that are experienced.

Ruth Stewart, RNID Northern Ireland Communication & Information Officer, says: “If you’re visiting the Tower Centre on 9 February, why not pop along to RNID’s information stand for a quick chat about how to ‘tune out tinnitus’, a condition which can be very challenging for many people to deal with in their everyday lives.

“We’d also be delighted to speak with you about the volunteering opportunities RNID Northern Ireland has available which can have a life-changing impact in the lives of people who have tinnitus or a hearing loss.”

For more details, contact Ruth on telephone: 028 9023 9619 or e-mail: ruth.stewart@rnid.org.uk
