The Alliance party has announced its Ballymena candidates for the forthcoming local government elections.
Sitting Councillor Jayne Dunlop was chosen to represent Ballymena town while Philip Burnside, a retired consultant haematologist, will stand in Bannside and Daniel Donnelly, a nurse from Larne, is hoping to gain a seat in Braid.
Jayne Dunlop said: “I am excited to have been selected to stand in this election for the new style council and I am delighted to welcome the two candidates who will be standing alongside me. Together we will be offering everyone in the Ballymena electoral area, the opportunity to vote for the cross community Alliance party. This new Alliance team will bring a range of experience and a commitment to working for everyone in the community no matter what their background. We are looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
