Guests were treated to a play by BEAM Creative Network and afternoon tea followed by dancing and entertainment. This was a joint event organised by the four Community Cluster groups in the Ballymena area – Ballymena South, Bann Maine West, Ballymena East and North Ballymena and Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership. Chairman of Bann Maine West, Norman Worthington, welcomed all to the event. Mayor of Mid & East Antrim, Councillor Billy Ashe said: “I am delighted to be here today at this event. It’s great to see such a fantastic turnout and also brilliant to see the Community Clusters working together. I hope there will be many more similar events in the future.”

The afternoon got off to a great start with a play by BEAM Creative Network highlighting issues relating to driving and transport services available. This was followed by afternoon tea, entertainment/dancing with Eric Moore and the chance to browse information stands from various organisations such as the Alzheimers Society, PCSP, Mid & East Antrim Agewell Partnership, Good Morning Ballymena and Tesco. As well as the fun element of the event, participants were able to meet others from different areas, hear more about other things going on in Ballymena and pick up some very useful health related information.
