Good turnout for Lets Get Together conference

Anne Henry Centre Manager of the Hope Centre was delighted with the large turnout and support of those who attended the Lets Get Together conference.

This was the 3rd annual conference the theme was Aiding Recovery, How to cope with recovery and ways of how to live in recovery, these included an insight to the Lets Get together project. Testimony’s from Hope Centre Clients who successfully have turned their life around because of the project.

A client from Addictions NI who has not drank now for 14 months and is now volunteering with them and getting his life back.

The five step model was also explained By Amanda Elliott Suicide Prevention Development Officer these include Connect with organisations, Be Active walk or keep fit, Take Notice of things around you and Give your time by Volunteering all great actions to help Aid Recovery.

The meeting was also joined by the Recovery Choir from Dromore and the Hope Centre Choir who are all in recovery.

This conference was a testimony the recovery can happen with support and the willingness to recover.
