As Mid and East Antrim Borough Council finalises details of its live screenings of the games locally, for those who can’t make the games in France, Cllr. Ashe is putting the shirt up for a ‘Silent Charity Auction’, with funds raised going to his chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society.

“This is in aid of my chosen charity, the Alzheimer’s Society, with all money raised going towards the charity’s caring role in providing information and advice, care and support for those suffering dementia as well as their families and in researching the cause, cure, care and prevention of the disease,” Cllr. Ashe said.

He added: “Appropriately as we complete the arrangements for big screen ‘fan zones’ for the Northern Ireland games, I am urging support for this worthy cause.

“Please submit your bid by completing the online application. The auction will close at midnight on June 1 so the winner can wear his shirt with pride during the big games.”
