Public views sought on Ecos Park

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council's Parks and Open Spaces team has commenced a survey into how to better develop the Ecos Nature Park.

Open Spaces staff are seeking to find out more about who visits the popular site.

Feedback on what visitors like about the site and suggestions on how it could be improved will be welcomed.

Anyone who wishes to take part should is asked to take a few moments to complete a short survey. It can be found online at: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/DXRQGMF

The environmental centre at the heart of the park was built as a millennium project at a cost of £10m.

Its purpose was to educate school children and the public in Northern Ireland about renewable energy and increase awareness of environmental issues.

Sadly, the high hopes for the centre failed to materialise and its role changed into that of an administrative centre.
