Crowds turn out in force for opening of The Range in Ballymena

Despite inclement weather conditions the Ballymena public turned out in force for the opening of '˜The Range' store.

The store, at the former B & Q premises, was officially opened by Deputy Mayor of Mid & East Antrim, Ald. William McNeilly.

Spirits were high and the ribbon cutting was met with smiles, applause and the traditional Ballymena ‘yeeoow’!

Around 80 new full and part-time jobs have been created with the opening of the store which will be an impresstive boost to Ballymena’s overall retail offering.

A spokesman for The Range said the firm was delighted to see such a huge queue of eager customers at their very first superstore in Northern Ireland.

“They couldn’t wait to discover the variety of products that the store has to offer. It was wonderful to see so many people outside on our first day of business.”

Once open, shoppers packed into the store’s 16 departments, to explore the exciting displays and take advantage of the store opening deals.
