Charities in Ballymena are being offered an opportunity to ensure their status is up to date and ready for the future by attending a free seminar on good governance and charity regulation.
The seminar, to be held at The Braid, is part of a ‘Good Governance Roadshow’ being undertaken by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and the Developing Governance Group.
Tom McGrath, Chief Commissioner, explained: “With a number of changes to charity regulation over recent years, there has never been a better time to find out more about your responsibilities as a charity.
“The seminar will focus on good governance within charities, covering current charity regulation and providing an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and provide their views on a draft of the revised Code of Good Governance.
Hosted by North Antrim Community Network in conjunction with South Antrim Community Network, the seminar will take place at The Braid Town Hall, Museum & Arts Centre , 1-29 Bridge Street, Ballymena on Tuesday 27 May 2014 from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
Registration and refreshments will begin at 7.15pm.
