After weeks of preparation, excitement is mounting for the unveiling of Northern Ireland’s first Range superstore in Ballymena.

Teams have been working round the clock to get the store ready for the big reveal at Braidwater Retail Park at 9am next Friday (October 14).

Special guest, Deputy Mayor of Mid & East Antrim, Ald. William McNeilly will be there to cut the ribbon and officially open the store.

The project to transform the current site into a modern superstore, with 16 departments including a family café and large outdoor garden centre, is nearly complete.

Staff have been working extremely hard to get the shelves filled with a vast selection of amazing deals for their customers to enjoy. The retailer is well known for going all out during the festive season and the new store will offer an extensive Christmas shop full of trees, lights and decorations to fill your home with a little Range magic.

The grand opening will kick off with some great giveaways for the first 50 people in the queue including a fantastic star prize for the first in line; get there early to claim your prize!

Local station, Cool FM, will be in-store on opening morning to provide entertainment and will be running a competition for a handful of lucky customers to win a share of £250 in Range gift cards.

And the company’s very own mascot, Captain Range, will be attending to provide balloons and entertainment for the young and young at heart!

The celebrations are set to continue over the weekend with free face painting for children on Saturday and a free craft demo by Design Objectives on Sunday. The new store is bringing around 80 much needed jobs, from warehouse staff and sales assistants to store and office managers and is sure to be a welcome boost to the retail park.

Devon-based entrepreneur, Chris Dawson, the owner and founder of The Range commented on the upcoming opening, “Each store plays an important part in the success of our company and Ballymena is no exception. It is the first step in our Northern Irish expansion which is a great move in helping the business to progress and grow. We are very lucky with the staff we have and look forward to inviting the new team members to the company”.
