New Frosses service station - jobs on the way

Details have been revealed of new jobs at another major road services development between Ballymena and Ballymoney.

The purpose built premises will service the new A26 Dual carriageway, which is currently undergoing a £55 million improvement scheme.

Recently, Applegreen opened a service station on the site of the former Fort Royal Inn nearer to Ballymena town itself.

Developer John Kelly is understood to be investing approximately £1.5 million into the site at 318 Frosses Road, just beyond the Glarryford junction.

We also understand that an ‘International fuel brand and Coffee brand’ are set to anchor the site which will also include catering for both HGV and private motorists.

Clarman architects have deigned the scheme, which is set to commence works in May 2016 taking 20 weeks to complete

A spokesman said that around 22-28 full time/part time jobs will be created at the site in the long term.
