New premises for Clockwork Orange in Ballymena

Ballymena town centre is set to welcome two new additions to its on-street offering when fashion retailer, Clockwork Orange, and Frolick, a frozen yoghurt-themed bar, open their doors this June.

Clockwork Orange, is moving out of Fairhill Shopping Centre and taking over 6,000 sq. feet on Thomas Street to open a new flagship lifestyle concept store.

In addition to stocking famous brands the new store will incorporate a healthy eating café and nail salon.

Frolick, which will be run by two local operators, is leasing approximately 2,500 sq ft of retail space on Springwell Street.

Stephen Smith from Osborne King who negotiated both lettings commented: “The pressure faced by our local high street retailers has been well documented in recent times, however, these lettings to Clockwork Orange and Frolick demonstrate a renewed confidence among local independent retailers.

“We are delighted to secure both operators as tenants as it is extremely encouraging to see existing retailers expand their business whilst welcoming new entrants to the local retail market.”

Clockwork Orange was founded in 1998 and currently trades from four store locations within Northern Ireland. Frolick is a new business venture and the first of its kind to open in Ballymena.
