Preparation work is set to begin on the A26 Glarryford to Drones Road as part of the first steps in the £65 million dualling scheme.
Motorists will have to drive at 40mph from Monday with restrictions placed on this stretch of the A26 road as work gets underway.
This advanced scheme includes site clearance, the removal of vegetation, the erection of the site boundary fence and archaeological investigations
It is anticipated that construction of the dual carriageway will commence towards the end of this year.
