Ballymena theatre company, the Castle Players, are putting the finishing touches to preparations for their biggest production to date

The group will perform the Sam Cree comedy ‘Cupid Wore Skirts’ at the Braid Arts Centre this Thursday, April 30.

The play sees an eligible widower places an advert in a newspaper seeking to meet a lady “with prospects of marriage” - with chaotic results!

It follows on from two sold-out performances of the play at St Patrick’s Church last November.

Tickets, priced at £7 (£5 concessions) are available from the Braid.

Proceeds from the play will go towards the Blind Centre for Northern Ireland, specifially relating to the organisation’s work with blind children.

Looking further ahead, the Castle Players will perform another Sam Cree Play, entitled ‘Widows’ Paradise’ in St Patricks in November and are on the look-out for additional members.
