Home burgled while family on holiday

Detectives in Ballymena are investigating a burglary from a family home on the Deerfin Road, Ballymena while the homeowners were on holiday.

Detective Chief Inspector Carmichael said: “The burglary is thought to have happened sometime between Thursday 16 July and Tuesday 21 July. A front door panel of the house was broken as the house was broken into. Drawers inside the house were rifled through, but it is not clear at this stage what was taken from inside.

“Detectives are investigating the burglary but are keen to hear from anyone who may have saw suspicious activity in the Deerfin Road area across the period. If you have any information please call Ballymena detectives on the non-emergency number 101 or contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
