Police seek witnesses to Toome ‘altercation’

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following an altercation in the Main Street area of Toome during the early hours of this morning (Monday 31 October).

Shortly after 12.10am it was reported that an altercation was taking place involving a number of people.

Two males, aged 17 and 19, and two females, also aged 17 and 19, were arrested on suspicion of assault and are currently in custody assisting police with their enquiries. Three females and a male sustained a number of injuries as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Wallace is appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information that can assist with the investigation to contact Detectives in Antrim Police Station on 101 quoting reference number 14 of 31/10/16. Information can also be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
