Town centre assault

Police are appealing for information following an assault in Ballymena town centre during the early hours of Sunday November 27.

The attack occurred at Ballymoney Street close to the junction of William Street.

Police believe that a 34-year-old man was assaulted at approximately 2.00 am and required medical attention for his injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.

Constable Phil Ryan said: “I would ask anyone with any information about this incident to contact Ballymena Police Station on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 163 of 27/11/16. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
