The Cullybackey College Drama Club (CCDC) have been busy rehearsing their original play, “Why Drama?”, directed by Mrs C Drennan.

In the performance the many lively characters explore their thoughts and feelings about Drama and its relevance in their lives; some love it, and some hate it.

Stevie, played by Stephanie Coleman (Year 11), hates Drama until she discovers her particular strengths as a playwright.

The play showcases dance, theatrical movement, dialogues, monologues and song, as the story unfolds and everyone in the audience hears the true message of Drama.

The cast consists of thirteen Year 9 to Year 11 pupils and will be performed for The Buick and The Diamond Primary schools on Thursday June 16.
