Cullybackey and District Historical Society will be unveiling some of the research which has been conducted into the role played by men and women from the area during World War One this Thursday evening (November 20).

Cullybackey British Legion Hall wil be the venue for ‘From the Valley of the Maine: A talk by Alan Rosborough on the men and women from the area who served during WW1.’ The talk will commence at 8pm.

Alan has been co-ordinating an ongoing research project between the historical society, and the Cullybackey Branch of the British Legion. Since the beginning of the project, in early 2013, a list of more than 400 men and women from, or with a connection to, the area who served in the war has been compiled.

Admission to the meeting for non-members is £2 and refreshments will be provided. For more information about the evening, our WW1 project or the society please email us at cullybackeyhistorysociety@gmail.com. You can also visit our website at cullybackeyhistory.co.uk/
