The winners will be treated to a carnival style walk to school with children’s characters and interactive music as part of the celebrations.

All other registered schools will be receiving activity workbooks ‘Let’s Walk to School’, designed by Travelwise NI to help educate primary school pupils on the benefits of walking and the importance of road safety.

Walk to School Week has been promoted for over 10 years by Travelwise NI and thousands of pupils take part in the annual celebration, with schools across Northern Ireland encouraged to take part.

Travelwise NI is also urging all road users across Northern Ireland to take extra care on the roads next week, as more children than usual will be walking to and from school.
