The Languages Department at Antrim Grammar School has had an energetic, fun-filled start to the year.

As part of celebrations for European Day of Languages, some Year 13 French and Spanish students went to Antrim and Round Tower primary schools to teach sample lessons.

Year 9 students took part in an international bingo competition in French or Spanish during their Maths lesson and Year 14 Spanish students lead an interactive assembly.

Mr Ross also taught a very informative and interesting sample Swedish lesson.

The annual Year 8 French breakfast was also held with all Year 8 students enjoying fresh croissants and baguettes, washed down with tasty hot chocolate and orange juice.

This year, the department has also introduced a Languages Club, led by Year 13 students and meeting regularly at lunchtimes as well as a French Debating club for Sixth Formers.
