Graduation success for locals

Two borough residents were among more than 1,000 higher education learners who celebrated their achievements at Belfast Metropolitan College’s recent annual Graduation at Titanic Belfast.

Eimhear McIlvar (20) from Portglenone, graduated with an HND in Health and Social Care and is now studying a BSc in Nursing at Queen’s University.

Katrina Featherstone (21) from Ballymena completed a Foundation Degree in Events Management for the Tourism Industry.

The annual event welcomed 2,000 guests over two ceremonies and recognised students from the Faculties of Technologies and Academic Studies, Leadership, Science and Service Industries and Health, Care, Sport and Leisure.
