Antrim and Ballymena Men’s Friendship group have launched a new ‘Seeds’ calendar which depicts pictures taken by members who suffer from Dementia.

The seeds calendar is part of a larger garden project being undertaken by the friendship group, funded by the innovation fund, on land at Ferrard House, Antrim

The men used skills they had gained from a previous photography project and were supported by photographer and volunteer Brian Hennessy to create the calendar.

The friendship group consists of Tommy Foster, Jack McCready, John Christie, Seamus Duffy, Brendan Lavery and John McErlaine.

Speaking at the event, Ballymena Mayor Audrey Wales MBE, said: “I’d like to congratulate the Men’s Friendship Group for producing this beautiful and thought-provoking calendar which will raise awareness of the important work of the Alzheimer’s Society in the local area.”
