Mid and East Antrim Councillors have voted to proceed with an economic appraisal of a plan to build a new leisure centre on a new site in Ballymena.
The recommendation was proposed by Cllr. Tommy Nicholl (DUP) who noted a report into the existing centre had rated it as ‘not fit for purpose’.
He was seconded by Cllr. Timothy Gaston (TUV).
The proposal was passed with no objections.
