Children in Mid and East Antrim Borough are being urged to get outside and play.

It is all part of a national campaign called Playday and will see events taking place on Wednesday, August 3 across the borough.

Mid and East Antrim Borough Council is therefore calling on everyone to celebrate Playday 2016 in the People’s Park, Ballymena, from 10am to 1pm.

Show why play is fundamental to the enjoyment of childhood, and vital to youngsters’ health, well-being and development.

Children and adults alike are being encouraged to visit the Borough’s open spaces, seven of which are Green Flag accredited, and enjoy the outdoors.
