Raceview Mill in Broughshane was the location for the launch of a new children’s book by local author, Roy McKeown.
“Pip and Jack’s First Big Adventure” tells the story of Jack, the Jack Russell, and his owner, Pip, as they fly over Broughshane village, Slemish and see the brave lifeboat crew in Portrush. At its launch, Roy McKeown read the story, which is illustrated by local graphic illustrator Jennifer McNeill, to the Primary One pupils of Broughshane Primary school.
The book is published by Raceview Mill publications, one of 14 small businesses operating from Raceview Mill, which is quickly becoming a centre for creative fledgling businesses.
“Pip and Jack’s First Big Adventure” will be available from the Red Brick, a new coffee shop in Raceview Mill, as well as Mary Jane’s Crafts, the Raceview Gallery and other outlets.
Roy said: “I am particularly delighted that the book was designed, written and published in Raceview Mill.
“It is amazing to see products once again labelled “Made in Raceview Mill, Broughshane.”
