The Alzheimer’s Society in Antrim & Ballymena is encouraging people who have concerns about dementia to stop bottling it up this Dementia Awareness Week (18 – 24 May 2014).
People are invited to attend an awareness raising event in Tower Centre Ballymena on Wednesday 21st May from 9.30am – 1pm where there will be an opportunity to learn more the issues.
There will also be an Awareness Stand outside the canteen in Antrim Area Hospital on Monday 19th May and the opportunity to speak to someone about dementia.
Alzheimer’s Society has a range of services which support people with dementia and their carers in the Antrim/Ballymena Area
These include one to one visits, carer support groups, activity groups and awareness raising talks.
