‘Girassol’ Charity Shop is hosting a Fashion Show and Auction at First Antrim Presbyterian Halls on Saturday, June 7, in aid of Mozambique’s poorest.
Getting underway at 7.30pm, the evening will feature fashion donated to the Girassol shop and Nkateko jewellery made by the wives of pastors in Mozambique will also be modelled on the night when everything will be for sale.
An auction of select items will also take place including pieces of furniture which showcase the creative and restorative work of Girassol volunteers in ‘upcycling’ donated goods.
This special night will celebrate God’s faithfulness over the last five years since the opening of the shop on May 2, 2009.
It has been organised by shop manager Sharon Thompson and her committed team of volunteers and among those who will be attending will be OMS Missionaries to Mozambique and shop founders, Melvin and Sharon Kelly.
