A community group formed earlier this year to act as an umbrella body for several independent associations in the north of Ballymena enjoyed a celebration day last week.
The North Ballymena Community Cluster (NBCC) was established in January 2013 and its member groups are Ballymena North Partnership, Doury Road Development Group, Dunclug Partnership and The Rectory Residents Association.
The cluster aims to improve life and conditions in Ballymena North by working together to learn from each other, to share common issues and to find solutions to common problems, whilst creating a strong collective voice.
The cluster is funded by Ballymena Borough Council.
Members of the NBCC enjoyed a “Lunch Together” table quiz at the Leighinmohr House Hotel.
With five teams battling it out to win the first NBCC table quiz title, it was Francis’ Fancies who stormed to victory. T
he lunch event was funded by the Housing Executive Community Cohesion Programme. You can find out more about what’s happening at NBCC by visiting and liking our Facebook page, North Ballymena Community Cluster.
