Ballymena Academy’s outgoing principal, Ronnie Hassard, was treated to a Mayoral Reception in The Braid last Wednesday evening by First Citizen, Cllr Audrey Wales, to mark his retirement as headmaster after a decade in the post.

Also pictured in the Mayor’s Parlour (left) is James McKervill (Academy Board of Governors) and Chris Wales (right) Ballymena Chamber of Commerce.

Afterwards, Mr Hassard opened the first of three Spring Concert evenings in The Braid auditorium at which staff and pupils paid tribute to him by performing special arrangements of personal favourites, ‘Raglan Road’ and ‘Christ With Me’.
