Elections 2014: TUV’s Gaston takes first Bannside seat

Native of Cullybackey/Glarryford area, Timothy is well versed in local issues. In his time on Ballymena Council he has earned the reputation of a powerful advocate on behalf of his constituents; he brings youth and enthusiasm to the role. Employed in the retail sector in Ballymena as a Fire, Health and Safety Officer.

Timothy Gaston of the TUV has taken the first of the 20 available ‘Ballymena’ seats on the new Mid & East Antrim Council.

He was elected in the First Count for Bannside DEA with 1212 first preference votes.

Philip Burnside of the Alliance Party was eliminated in the first stage with 450 votes. The quota was 1117 for Bannside which has a total of six available seats.
