Detectives in Ballymena are investigating a burglary in which a television was taken in the early hours of Wednesday 23 April.
The 32” Sharp television was taken from a flat in the Galgorm Road area of the town.
Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area at the time, or have been since offered a similar television for sale, to call them on the new non-emergency 101 number.
PJ Whyte, Crime Prevention Officer for local police, also issued a timely reminder of the importance of locking doors and windows during the night or when you out of the house.
“A high proportion of all burglaries happen when windows and doors are left opened,” he said. “Criminals will take the path of least resistance, so if you leave your windows or doors opened, they will be happy to take advantage.
“I don’t want people to be afraid of crime, but to lock up as a simple crime prevention measure that will make things difficult for the criminals.”
