The results of a post mortem examination conducted on a 33-year-old man from Broughshane who died in London last month has revealed the cause of death is not suspicious.
A police spokesperson said the PSNI has no further investigative involvement in the circumstances surrounding the death of the man, named locally as Andrew Donaldson.
Just days before he died, Mr Donaldson was the victim of an assault in the village. Footage of the incident appeared shortly afterwards on facebook.
The PSNI spokesperson said: “PSNI detectives are continuing their investigation into the serious assault of a 33-year old-man in the Rocavan Meadows area of Broughshane on Thursday, September 19. A number of arrests have been made and inquiries are continuing.”
Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the assault at 7pm on September 19 in Rocavan Meadows, or anyone who has any information to contact detectives at Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
