Martina Anderson MEP looking over the plans on site at the proposed new ASBC premises with club officials including Gerry Hamill.

Sinn Fein MEP Martina Anderson visited Ballymena last week to meet with three organisations doing excellent work, largely on a voluntary basis.

Ms Anderson, accompanied by party colleagues Daithí McKay MLA, Cllr. Paul Maguire and Marian Maguire, called at the Hope Centre which has been helping people affected by alcohol or drugs misuse since 2000 and provides support to individuals and their families right across the Northern Trust area.

Then it was on to All Saints Boxing Club where officials outlined plans for their proposed new premises, illustrated by recently approved architectural drawings and a visit to the Ballymena North site.

Martina’s final meeting was with Jim Brady and Martin Killough from All Saints GAA club, who were interested in hearing more about European funding for indigenous sports.
