St Louis principal Mr Rafferty was wholesome in his praise for the achievement of his students’ performances at ‘A’ Level.

He said the superb grades reflect the hard work of the students and their teachers across all curricular areas.

“A feature of this year’s results was the number of students with straight ‘A’ grades and, indeed, the fact that the gender gap between male/female achievement has been narrowed.

“At time of going to press exact percentage of A* to C in three or more subjects was not confirmed but as in past years we hope to be once again in the cohort of top achieving school in NI,” he said. “Excellent results such as these are the end product of two years of intense study by our students and the majority of our students will now have the qualifications at ‘A’ Level to give them access to high profile university places throughout NI and the UK.

“Credit must also go to their parents and teachers who have supported the students this far and who are equally delighted with the fantastic grades,” the St Louis principal added.
